This is the End Result


week 5

week 5, we cut 9  42 mm, 42 mm, 42 mm blocks which were then had X's and O's burnt into them using a drill press which had been heated to extreme temperatures by a branding iron.

week 4

In week 4, the inside frame, the outside frame and a one 183 mm, 183 mm, 4 mm base were glued and nailed together, which was then oiled to create our tic tac toe box

equipment used: glue, nail, clamp 

week 3

In week 3 we used another 4 pieces of wood to create the inside frame for our tic tac toe box. 4 pieces of 177 mm, 12 mm, 30 mm were used which then had  2, 15 mm trenches cut from the thickness of wood. this would then create the inside of our 9 block tic tac toe box when all joined together

 equipment used: mallet, chisel, vice, marking gauge, tri square  

week 2

this week we begun making our tic tac toe box. firstly we used 4 pieces of 183 mm, 12 mm to create an outside frame. on both ends of one piece of wood, we made a tongue and groove joint that would connect the 4 pieces together. we then dug two trenches in each piece of wood 6 mm inwards which would be where our inside frames would fit.
